RDAP, or Registration Data Access Protocol, is a protocol designed to be the successor of WHOIS.
Its main advantage compared to WHOIS is to be standardized, thanks to the technical community of IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) which designed it and published many RFCs
to define the behavior of RDAP (see Applicable RFC Standards section below).
Using JSON format, RDAP is perfectly structured and, thus, easily machine-readable.
The OVH RDAP Service is implemented following the specifications and guidelines defined in the following standards:
OVHcloud does not provide any RDAP client. At this time, many RDAP clients are available. For example: https://client.rdap.org/
As a user, you can perform the following RDAP queries:
Domain queries are made using a domain name
Example: https://rdap.ovh.com/domain/ovh.com
